Razer Kishi V2 Review
Razerthink – Razer has released the Razer Kishi V2, a mobile gaming controller. This is the Razer Kishi V2. Unlike the first generation, the second generation or Kishi V2 is more innovative and presents the highest quality device. The Kishi V2 has been completely redesigned. The flexible bridge from the original was lost, replaced by a telescopic sliding bridge. This is also a welcome change. The V1’s folding bridge is excellent for portability, but it never feels completely stable. With the Kishi V2, my device feels much more secure, and I don’t have to worry about my phone falling off while I’m playing.
The Razer Kishi V2 uses the standard ABXY Xbox button interface, complete with triggers, LB and RB shoulder buttons, and additional R3 and L3 buttons that can be mapped using the dedicated Razer Nexus app. The controller itself feels much lighter but also more balanced. Storing the Razer Phone V2 inside feels natural, and the ergonomic grip and button placement give the Kishi V2 an easy comfort profile.

Design
The Razer Kishi V2 elevates its solid design to create an excellent mobile game controller nearly as high as console quality. Even though it’s a bit bigger than the original Kishi, which isn’t the best for portability, I’m sure it will be my future mobile game controller. The Kishi V2 is made of plastic and is relatively light but doesn’t feel cheap. It is designed so that it doesn’t get in the way of your game by adding weight to your phone. The buttons are clicky and tactile, and the feel is sturdy enough to slip into a bag and carry around.
The buttons, triggers and bumpers have a very smooth amount of travel but have a satisfying click that gives them a tactile feel. The Kishi V2 gently wraps almost any standard modern USB-C Android device and has several removable rubber holes to accommodate thicker phones, phone covers, or even smaller tablets. There’s a spare inlay in the box, too, for good measure. The controller also has a USB-C power pass-through, which means you can charge your phone without removing the entire device, and it also has dedicated screenshots and recording buttons.
Performance and features
To fit the phone into the Razer Kishi V2, you must pull on one side of the controller to extend the bridge and place the phone inside. You can even plug the charger into the bottom right and charge your phone while playing. The Razer Kishi V2 has a capture button and lets players remap the two programmable microswitch buttons near the trigger. These buttons are an excellent alternative for players who struggle with pressing their analogue thumbs for L3 and R3 inputs, so they’re a good accessibility and utility feature.
Razer Kishi v2 offers a great game experience that can help you play your grip very comfortably. Razer Kishi v2 works excellent on Google Stadia. This button takes you to the Razer Nexus, the new free app that manages downloaded mobile games and recommends new ones for Razer Kishi owners. Razer Nexus itself is an application developed specifically by Razer for users of the Razer Kishi V2 device. Through this application, users can do several customizations or map each button on a mobile gaming gamepad. Users can also see some recommendations for mobile games that support the Kishi V2 device, so they don’t have to bother looking for any games that support this mobile gamepad.
Even with the Razer Nexus, users can quickly access game streams on YouTube or Facebook. The Razer Nexus application can be obtained through the Google Play Store service for free. As well as unlocking the full potential of controller button remapping and screenshot functions. It is placed right above the start/menu button, which is used in almost every game.

The Razer Kishi V2 improves upon its predecessor in almost every possible way. It’s lighter, more balanced, has fun buttons, clicks, powerful triggers, improved input separation, and superior ergonomics. The app leaves much to be desired, but it’s the ultimate experience for mobile gamers and Xbox cloud gamers everywhere. But the haar is not cheap.
